How to Hang a Dartboard
When installing a bristle dart board for home practice to prepare for dart leagues, competitions, and blind draws, remember that consistency with regulations is important. Before getting started, you must consider appropriate wall space, a playing space of at least 11 feet, four inches, and ceiling heights of at least seven feet. You will need a measuring tape or ruler, level, screwdriver, hammer, pencil, chalk, and colored masking or painter's tape.

Additional Considerations
The dart board should be mounted flush to the wall. You can measure the distance for the throw line diagonally from the bull's-eye. Hold the measuring tape at the bull's-eye and measure out and down to the floor a total of nine feet, 7 3/8 inches. Consider placing a backboard or corkboard on the wall surrounding the dart board to keep the wall free of holes. Investing in a floor mat can protect floors from falling darts.
