A percentage of SFP's profits are contributed directly to the Buoniconti Fund, the national fundraising arm of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. This fund for paralysis research was co-founded by Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame linebacker Nicolas A. Buoniconti and is named for his son, Marc Buoniconti, who was paralyzed making a tackle during a college football game in 1985.
