It's a good size but that's about it.

The 'mahogany' finish is just a thick redish-brown lacquer applied over a soft wood. It doesnt apply evenly over the soft wood and looks strange when applied over the knots. Because they have to lay the lacquer on this wood so thick, I think it's more prone to scratches. Ours arrived with several scratches in the finish. We needed this for a party but if we didn't it would have been returned for a full refund.

The knobs are ok but you can jazz up the case quite a bit by spending a few bucks at your home store on upgraded knobs.

Now for the worst part of this case, the mounting. They really cheaped out by providing four drywall toggles that don't even work. It's tough to describe, but the toggles don't have a lip for them to catch so they just fall right through the wall. Take the toggles they provide and toss them in the trash. You will have to buy the right ones if you need to mount in drywall and not on stud.

Which brings me to my next point.. drywall toggles is stupid for mounting this. Instead of cheaping out they should have provided a mounting rail. meaning you mount the rail to the wall and then hang the cabinet on the rail. Instead you have to pray your measurements were precise and then try to hold the cabinet up while lining it up to 4 tiny holes you can see, hoping your screws find the toggle. It's a miserable experience.

Mounting the dartboard... also miserable. The back of the unit is a compressed cardboard/chip board that is not even a 1/4 inch thick. It's covered by black felt. Our dart board hangs on two screws that I had to toss out because the back board would have had the screws passing through it over an inch. After buying more screws I still had to screw out the board to make sure enough threads passed through to have the dartboard hang flush. This could have been easier if they spend a few cents more during construction and provided a thicker back mount board.

Bottom line: Not worth it. For the price of this case you should get a real hardwood and a proper way to mount it with the correct hardware instead of having to run out to the home store.
