Dart Board Brands

Dart throwing is linked to Medieval England and the sport of archery. Originally the bottoms of wine barrels were used as targets; later cross sections of trees were used, and as the wood dried, cracks formed, which led to board divisions. Men of notoriety discovered the sport, and refined dart boards evolved. Darts migrated to America with the Pilgrims, and became popular worldwide in the Victorian age with the rise of the British Empire. At the turn of the 20th Century, standard rules came into play.

Halex Magnetic Traditional Dartboard

Dart Boards of Sorts
Halex's best-selling electronic dart board has five LED-scoring displays and a professional-size target area. Halex electronic dart boards have capabilities for over three dozen games with more than 200 variations - play against an opponent or against the computer. A few models have on/off Trash Talk features that rate play abilities. Wireless electronic dart boards transmit scores upon impact to a 16-player computerized scoring display. Bristle surfaces allow for play with soft-tip or steel-tip darts. Halex bristle dart boards are tournament-quality boards with self-healing sisal fibers, and their movable number rings extend the life of the board. Halex arcade dartboards offer more than 40 games and 200 variations for tournament competitions.

Going for the Game shot
Arachnid dart boards have micro-thin segment dividers to reduce bounce-outs. Some Arachnid dart boards offer over three dozen games and up to 179 variations, including several varieties of Cricket. LED displays are easy to read, and options include selectable bull's-eyes, voice prompts, sleep mode, play on and ranking, handicapping options, and heckler/cheerleader, reset, and solo-play features. Arachnid offers dartboards in solid wood cabinets as well as one freestanding commercial dart board.

Widdy's official tournament dartboard has a playing surface on both sides of the board. The patented playing area is constructed of very tightly wound rolled paper, and provides a self-healing surface. Thin inlaid steel divider wires reduce bounce-outs. The inner target circle rotates to keep the playing surface fresh.
