Dart Board Brands
Dart throwing is linked to Medieval England and the sport of archery. Originally the bottoms of wine barrels were used as targets; later cross sections of trees were used, and as the wood dried, cracks formed, which led to board divisions. Men of notoriety discovered the sport, and refined dart boards evolved. Darts migrated to America with the Pilgrims, and became popular worldwide in the Victorian age with the rise of the British Empire. At the turn of the 20th century, standard rules came into play.

Widdy's official tournament dartboard has a playing surface on both sides of the board. The patented playing area is constructed of very tightly wound rolled paper, and provides a self-healing surface. Thin inlaid steel divider wires reduce bounce-outs. The inner target circle rotates to keep the playing surface fresh.
