Description

Play like the pros with Bottelsen Original Hammer Head Steel Tip Darts. This classic set comes with three darts, each of which features a 90% tungsten barrel, a streamlined design, and sleek black and silver flights. Bounce-outs are virtually eliminated, thanks to a no-bounce steel tip and an enhanced Hammer Head feature, which retracts the dart tip back into the body upon impact with a bristle board. The forward motion of the dart then hammers the point into the target and keeps it from bouncing out. Meanwhile, a spinning shaft allows darts to group closely together on the board, ensuring better accuracy. The set includes everything you need for the perfect match - three darts, one faux alligator case, three extra flights, and two sets of aluminum shafts - and comes in your choice of sizes and weights.     This purchase was an upgrade from the 23gm Bottelsen Great White. I wanted to test out the spinning shaft and movable tip. The movable tip definitely reduced bounce-outs, but don't expect 100% elimination--there will be bounce-outs every now and then. I don't care much for the spinning shaft and it's good that the set came with regular (no-spin) shafts which I now use. Initially, I had problems with inconsistent, fishtail flight pattern so that was pretty much the only negative for me. I found the solution by replacing the original flights with dimplex ones. Dimplex flights slow down the darts and tremendously improve flight pattern, making for clean, solid landings. I also feel that the spinning shaft makes for less precise throws that's why I don't use them anymore.

Not happy with this dart at all. too light and thin, and the thing wobbles terribly and it does bounce out too much... i am a decent dart player and have thrown not so good bar darts better than this one... unfortunately.
