These darts are a step up from the cheap all plastic darts that come with a cheap dart board. They are well balanced, and the grip is good. I would reccomend them for a beginner. The plastic shafts break eisily and the flight protectors just fall off. The aluminum shafts are a bit better. they come with both. The dart tool is a spiffy extra. If only it was metal, but alas it, like the second set of shafts, is plastic, and breaks after a few uses. The case is cheap plastic as well. I have a large case for several sets of darts, and discarded the unicorn case. I would not reccommend these darts for serious play, such as tournaments or bars when throwing to decide who is paying for the drinks. I would reccommend them for beginners, casual players, and as a set of cheap bar darts (the ones the bar loans you when you don't bring your own).

Great darts. "Very pretty!", is what my wife had to say about them. They were a gift for her birthday. The grip on the dart is very nice. When throwing, the dart almost feels half its actual weight. They just glide through the air. The included clear shafts are not good at all. The flights on one of them came off as i was getting ready to throw.
