I should preface this review with the fact that I don't have much to compare this to. I had another soft-tip board a few years back, non-bristle style but I'm definitely no Dartboard connoisseur. Here are some observations following a couple of days of ownership, and an absurd amount of dart games...to the point that both my wife and I are actually sore below the bicep!!

My wife and I have been having an absolute blast with this dartboard. I love how easy it was to mount, and the laser-toe line is super-cool. The heckling and vocals are entertaining, though I suspect if we start taking ourselves too seriously they'll get old fast ;)

There are some issues. I feel like the bounce-outs are excessive at times. We finally just started counting bounce-outs as not only are they disruptive in having to go hit the bounce-out button, but seem more frequent than reasonable. If it scores, it counts...except Bulls. Our board registers singles as doubles more often than not, so you really have to be careful with that. The trouble is though, correcting it messes with your groove. It's an unfortunate issue.

Still, all these things being said I love this board!! I'm looking forward to getting some better darts than the ones that came with it. The darts I had were too heavy and bounce or fall out frequently.

I've only played with soft-tip darts. Steel-tips would almost certainly crack my tile, so I can't speak as to the bounce-out issue with those.

Bottom line, you're darned right I'd recommend this board. It's just so much fun, and so easy to use. A total no-brainier.

We liked this board so much that we bought a second one! Our first one did have some problems (sections would get stuck and freeze the board up, games were not in right order, etC)[...]. We play mostly cricket and scram and love the ease of reading the displays. Overall it has provided us with hours of fun. We mostly use steel tip darts but have used the soft tip as well and both seem to work fine.

This is the best electronic dart board that allows steel tip use. Lot of bounce outs with heavier darts. Biggest complaint is that it only shows two peoples scores at a time when four play. Trash talk was funny once, glad I can turn it off.

I turned off the trash talk - it was fun at first but got to be a bit depressing. The laser line is great - keeps everybody honest.
